Tulsi Vivah holds great religious significance in Hinduism. This day is considered one of the auspicious days for the marriage of Goddess Vrinda (the divine Tulsi) and Lord Shaligram (another form of Lord Vishnu). The goddess Tulsi appears in many Hindu homes and is considered a symbol of purity and has many medicinal properties. Like Drik Panchang, Tulsi Vivah is also celebrated on Dwadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Kartik. This year, Tulsi Vivah will be held on November 24, 2023.

Tulsi Vivah 2023:
The importance of Tulsi Vivah has great religious significance for Hindus. They celebrate Tulsi Vivah with zeal and enthusiasm as it is a very important event for them. Tulsi Vivah is celebrated by the devotees of Lord Vishnu. People decorate the temple with candles and flowers and conduct Bhajan kirtans to celebrate the wedding of Goddess Tulsi and Lord Shaligram. The day is celebrated on a grand scale. People who are facing problems in their family should perform Tulsi Vivah and they will get a good partner for life and it is believed that childless marriage performed by Tulsi Vivah with a trained practitioner will bless children and childless people. The girls perform kaiadam dance and adopt goddess Tulsi as their daughter.
Tulsi Vivah 2023:
Story According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Shiva’s wrath created a demon and turned against all gods. Later, he married Vrinda on the advice of the demon guru Shukracharya as she was a loyal disciple and devoted wife of Lord Vishnu. No one could kill or defeat Jalandhar due to Pativrata Dharma or the nature of his wife Vrinda. , but the gods cannot. She decided to perform a puja for her husband’s health and longevity, but Lord Vishnu knew that if she succeeded, Jalandhar would die instead. Lord Vishnu then took the form of Jalandhar and performed puja with Vrinda, finally breaking his form. After saying these words, Goddess Lakshmi came to Vrinda and asked to be lifted from her curse. Flinda accepted his request to free him from the curse, but he committed suicide. Later, Lord Vishnu blessed her to become a Tulsi. His devotion to her meant that he would marry her as Shaligram and his ritual would not be complete if he did not worship Tulsi Patra. Since then, Hindus around the world celebrate Tulsi Vivah and Shaligram.
Tulsi Vivah 2023: Puja Ceremony
- People wake up early in the morning to prepare for the wedding of Lord Shaligram and Tulsi and decorate their puja room with flowers and place Shaligram and Goddess Tulsi.
- Devotees prepare various items for Bhog Prasad.
- Many families celebrate this ceremony with joy.
- He fasted until evening.
- Create a beautiful rangoli with various beautiful colors.
- Tulsi plant makes great decoration like Indian bridal, beautiful saree or dupatta etc.
- The groom appears as Lord Vishnu in another form i.e. Shaligram but the first Shaligram takes the holy bath of Gangajal and Panchamrit.
- Offer flowers or tires to Lord Shaligram and Goddess Tulsi and light the diya with desi ghee.
- Decorate Shaligram Ji.
- with yellow cloth. Use red sacred thread and yellow thread to make Katabandana.
- People create Kirtan and Bhajan for this benefit.
- Give different types of sattva bhog prasad.
- Puja can be performed only by priests
- Priests perform all marriage rituals and chant Vedic mantras.
- Zen Goddess Tulsi Aarti and Lord Vishnu Aarti.
- After all the rituals are completed, bhog prasad is distributed to all family members.
